Hello i have HP Compaq 8200 elite with 240W, ppl told me to buy 1030gt and i saw it has pretty nice performance. my question is can i buy this version?

im afraid it wont work right because it has a fan with cause the gpu to "ask" more W from the psu and so it will be too much.. i heard someone telling me go for the low profile the one without fan so it wont be requiring too much from the PSU.. but this is the cheapest version i found.. can i use this anyway?

Solution
If you're sure that your PSU has those same +12V specs as the one in the photo, you could even go with a GTX 1050 Ti low profile.

I have the Zotac in my Optiplex 790 SFF. It is running fine on a PSU with poorer specs than yours. Being the shortest of the ones above, it would be a sure fit in your machine.

Unfortunately you can't use a gtx 950 because it draws 75-90W depending on the model. What the 25W limitation means is that you are very limited to what GPU's you can use in the Elitedesk 8200 SFF.

No, the GTX 950 would demand too much wattage at load. The GTX 1050 or 1050 Ti would be the most I would go. Or your original GT 1030 choice if you want to play it safe.
