As of right now i have a:
Corsair CX 500W PSU.
AMD FX-4300 Black edition CPU.
Kingston 8gb ddr3 ValueR.
XFX Radeon 7950 GPU.
Samsung 830 128GB SSD.
Seagate 2tb HDD.

The pc itself is soon to be 5 years old, and i feel kind of limited in playing the newer titles.

Here are the parts im thinking to upgrade to:

Intel i5 7600 non K
Nvidia 1060 6gb
Some B250 Motherboard (Suggestions?)
And 16gb of ddr4.

My questions are if the parts i choose not to replace will work togheter with the new components? Does my PSU have the 8-pin connector the 1060 requires? etc...

feel free to ask further questions and suggesting other parts.

The older CX models aren't very good and personally I wouldn't risk the parts in my system with a lower end PSU. The newer CXM versions are improved. Also the parts you'll be upgrading to is a massive improvement over your current specs.

I'd recommend this or the ASrock B250 Pro for a motherboard.

Upgrading the PSU as in it won't work or it will barely do the job? if you feel like a PSU upgrade is needed, do you have any recommendations? preferably ''mainstream'' brands such as Coolermaster, EVGA & Corsair as they dont sell all brands in Norway. Appreciate the help.

It's more of a quality thing.

The newer Corsair CXM is supposedly better than the older units and the EVGA units are good
