on this motherboard i haved 2 dim slots

I have 1 dim slot filled with an Ballistix Sport LT 8GB DDR4 2400 MT/s (PC4-19200)

the motherboard website says it Supports DDR4-3200+(OC) Memory, does that mean i have to get something less than 3200 and then overclock it to 3200? I could just buy another one of the same ram sticks that i already have, but will it make much difference and will it be worth it? Any explanation on what the capabilities of this motherboard will be helpful and any information on whether the upgrade of clockspeed will make a noticeable difference.

Edit: my specs are:
ryzen 1600
rx580 8gb
8gb ram @2400
b350m gaming pro motherboard

Thank you.

well to be honest here are some things that might help you, you can opt to buy another stick of the same ram you have for dual channel frequency which can help you a lot in multitasking. The one that you said about ram overclocking is possible even if you have a 2400mhz ram u can run it higher like 2666 or higher by adjusting ram timings and voltage personally I don't recommend this because I prefer running ram with the advertised speed. I suggest buying a faster ram if you want better performance although if you focus solely on gaming and not mind other multitasking things then your ram is ok. According to Hardware Unboxed, yes ryzen is ram speed hungry for performance but when it comes to gaming 2400/2666mhz is the sweet spot...

Cheers!

I'm pretty sure the motherboard only goes up to 3200 MHz so anything above that with be down clocked to 3200 MHz. we're you able to boot up this computer with the RAM you linked?
