Hello guys, I kinda have a dumb question that is giving me a bit "?" In my head.

I have a old gaming rig with a Intel i5 2400 CPU, a ASUS P8H67 motherboard and a Kingston 9905471-011.A00LF 2x4GB 1333mhz ddr3

I'm planning to upgrade my CPU and MB to a AMD Ryzen 5 1600 and a Gygabite A370 k5 motherboard

I wanted to know if my old Kingston memory will work at this newer MB and CPU, do I need to upgrade the memory too?

Thanks.

Sadly your old ram will not work as motherboard will only support DDR4 and your ram is DDR3.
You need to get a DDR4 with either of these MHZ 3200(O.C.)/ 2933(O.C.)/ 2667*/ 2400/ 2133.
(O.C.) means its overclockable.
Hope i helped you!
