can i use my old cpu fan on new cpu

right now i have AMD Phenom(tm) II X2 550 Processor with the stock fan could i buy just the cpu for AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Processor, Black Edition (HDT90ZFBGRBOX) and use the old fan from the X2

The X2 550 is a 94w TDP cpu. The X6 1090t is a 125w TDP cpu. You'll have serious overheating issues as the original 550 stock fan isn't designed for the thermal output of the X6, even though it physically will fit.

so just put some rubbing alcohol on thermal paste and the cpu leave it or rub it around with cotton swab

Very little rubbing alcohol and use a coffee filter after you are down cleaning the surface
