CPU usage 100% while gaming

I was playing CS:GO and took off my headphones and realised that my computer was making some weird chirping noise. Checked task manager and the CPU was going at 100%. Same while playing other games.

I've had no performance issues or anything. I'm just puzzled because of the noise. And this hasn't happened before.

Specs:
Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-7400 CPU @ 3.00GHz, 3000 Mhz, 4 physical cores, 4 logical cores
8.00GB of ram
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 3GB
Windows 10 64bit

Solution
what is actually emitting the chirp sound, pray tell? a little speaker on mainboard?

(quite normal for i5 cpu to show 100% usage in some games when not GPU limited...; my opinion: who cares, as long as average/min framerates are good. Many Ryzen owners claim victory with 20% lower framerates, but are thrilled that their CPU usage is now only 50% per core...; oh well, whatever makes someone happy) :)

Whats your specs ? Are you using stock cooling ? I think its the stock cooler raising its speed

Yes, seems to be 60-70C while playing

The "chirping" noise you are talking about I know some CPU`s make that sound when the are running at 100% ( my old cpu did it to )
And dont worry, mine did run for 8 years before I unplugged it. And I know if I plug it back in it still works.
