Computer won't turn on - Suspected dead CPU

So this is my first pc build, and it has been working fine since I put everything together a couple weeks ago (except the graphics card's fans were being a little weird, but I think that's a different problem) but now for some reason it won't turn on, the power supply clicks (which it was doing before) and the LEDs on the fans come on momentarily, but the power LED never comes on, and the screen displays nothing.

This morning it was working fine, but then it just randomly froze, and upon being shut down, wouldn't fully turn back on. As in the power LED came on, a couple LEDs on the motherboard came on, the fans turned on, but the LEDs on my keyboard never came on, and the monitor displayed nothing. Now when I push the power button it just does what I said above, seem to momentarily come on and then shut down immediately. I'd think that would be because of a short and so far I've tried checking all the cables with an ohmmeter, disconnecting everything except the ram, motherboard and cpu from the power supply, checking the cpu and motherboard are seated correctly, and resetting the CMOS as according to the motherboard manual.

Update: Now I've tried turning it on (accidentally at first) without the cpu plugged in, and it turned on, the lights on the motherboard came on, and the case fans started spinning, however as soon as I plug the cpu back in it doesn't do that. I think there's something wrong with the cpu that's causing the PSU to shut down, but is there any way I can troubleshoot what's wrong with the cpu, or possibly figure out what might have gone wrong?

Specs:
CPU: i5-7500
MB: MSI B-250I Pro
PSU: Corsair SF 450
RAM: 8G Team 2400 DDR4
Storage: ADATA 128Gb M.2 SSD and a 500Gb HDD
GPU: Gigabyte GTX 1070 8G OC
All in a Node 202 with 2 120mm fans below the 1070 and a coolermaster Geminii m4 cpu cooler that I added a week ago (originally using the Intel stock cooler)

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Okay, so you're saying I need a better power supply? But can you explain why to me? It was working fine for a few weeks on the 450W one.

That's a good point, but it seems unlikely given that nothing changed when I tried it with another CPU, or with the CPU power plugged in but nothing in the socket

What I would recommend is take apart your computer and put it back together. You may have put a cable in a wrong slot, interfering with the CPU. You may come across a mistake you made when building its!

I've tried that too, and still nothing, so I've gotten a new motherboard, but now it just continually turns itself on and off without ever reaching POST, and even after replacing both the power supply and motherboard it continues to do the same thing even with only the new motherboard and psu connected it still does the same thing as the old two :??:

Motherboard is good, PSU is fine. The last suspected components is either the storage, gpu, RAM and cpu.

So check if the GPU is not corrupt:
http://smallbusiness.chron.com/tell-pc-graphics-card-going-bad-47281.html

Also check your RAM, make sure that its in the correct slots:
https://youtu.be/BWr5Mb9cp38?t=1m19s

Also use Memtest86 to test for any faultls in your memory:
https://www.memtest86.com/

Download speccy and ensure all components you have are properly installed:
http://filehippo.com/download_speccy/

Check if the HDD is not faulty:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TETQ_oCJgFI
Also make sure the temperature is not too high, high temp can damage and shut down the computer.

If it comes to the point you have no clue whats happening, you can buy one of these PSU testers to see if the PSU is failing. I would be surprised however, I calculated using your rig and a good PSU would be 500w.

Now onto your CPU...
" If your machine is playing up maybe due to overheating. CPUs above 70 degrees Celsius are in the danger zone. Between 80-85 Celsius is the melting point. Check the heat-sink in your computer and make sure it is clear of dust and obstructions. "

" Capacitors. Look for any bulging or leaking capacitors on the motherboard near the CPU or memory areas. If there are any bulging or leaking capacitors, this creates voltage irregularities, thus system errors."

" Video Card. If your system has a dedicated video card, check its capacitors and fan as well. Video cards can freeze a system, in the same way a CPU can. They can also keep a computer from POSTing."

I saw a survey which shows how peoples CPU died.
16% was due to PSU failing
18% was due to Power surge from the outside computer
20% Wasnt the CPU at all
47% Overheating due to dust and bad thermel compound.

Thanks for all the info. I don't think it's the GPU since I haven't had it plugged in for a while, neither the SSD or HDD, and the computer won't even reach the BIOS, so I can't run any really thorough checks of them, and it does the same restart loop with both the PSU I mentioned earlier and a brand new gold rated 750W one, so I'm really at a loss as to what to do, I think I'll take it to a professional later.

I believe it's the CPU, as that's responsible for everything, even booting up! I think your rig is bottlenecking between the CPU and the GPU. I would recommend you upgrade it even if it was working.

Sorry for the slow reply, but yeah, as it turns out it was continually restarting because of a dead cpu, which I've now replaced and it works great! Thanks for your help!
