does the number matter on amds

Solution

a 1090T is a 1090T, you can ignore that part number, it will work fine on that board.

I just upgraded from an 1100T, great processor but starting to get a bit outdated.

Before you grow worried about the SKU on the processors listed, I'll need you to look at your motherboard and see if the power regulation modules/VRM area of your motherboard has a heatsink and is capable of dealing with the AMD Phenom II X6 1090T.

FYI,
CPU part numbers
HDT90ZFBK6DGR is an OEM/tray microprocessor
HDT90ZFBGRBOX is a boxed microprocessor with fan and heatsink
