So a few months ago I had some ddr3 laying around and was thinking about adding it to my phenom 2 quad core gaming system, well my brother uses it and I told him repeatedly I'll install it and for him to leave it alone.

As the genius himself does of course he added it himself and it has yet to post ever since. I have used all sticks of ram in as many configurations I can think of, it boots up all fans spinning with no display. I've also used known good parts. Just for kicks I turned it on with no memory at all and it acted the same leading me to believe it doesn't even recognize the memory.

I've swapped power supplies, video cards, monitors, and memory and it won't post at all. I have my A+ certification and this has me stumped. The system may be dead and it's no major loss but if I can get it working I have some ues for it.

I've spent a decent amount of time googling this and pretty much all the solutions I see are stuff I've done before even googling it l. A lot of the "duh" troubleshooting steps have been done already, I just don't know where to go now other then repeating tests or giving it up.

I hope some of you have some ideas that may help, im at the point where I can't think of much more to do.

I don't know the specs off the top of my head but it's a phenom 2 X4 956 (I think) and some asus board, also a random old Radeon card and a 750 TI.

Also a side note, I'm having the same issue with a core 2 duo system I got for like $10, HP Compaq, it will not post with any ram config either, was only $10 tho.
