Im going to purchase a laptop soon and i was wondering if you can connect xbox controllers wirelessly to a laptop to use

you can buy the wireless adapter for the controller. but there are always a ton of issues with them. there are 100 new threads a day here asking for help getting it working.

i'm sure many get them working fine but clearly many more do not. i use a WIRED XB1 controller on my pc and have never had a single issue with it. i'd go that rout myself sine you're not sitting very far away anyway. 9 ft cable is plenty long enough

^ It would be helpful it people read the compatibility of dongles before they just purchased them and tried to get them to work. That is the main problem. They just grab some random spear and try to get it to work without reading the list.

The video above has a description that takes you to SCP's site and there is a dongle compatibility list there. Get a compatible dongle and you shouldn't have issues with wireless gaming.
