Upgraded from an i3 to an i5 now i cant get my computer to boot

Just went from an i3 6100 to an i5 6400. Updated my bios tp the latest i could and no2 when i boot up, its stuck on a black screen?

did it go black directly after the bios update? also, what motherboard do you have?

clear your cmos

It will boot to the windows logo sometimes but never goes past that. My mobo is the Gigabyte h110m-a

I cleared my cmos but now it gets stuck at a windows automatic repair screen when i boot.
