I have a SSD boot and and harddrive for other things. I just have origin and steam and some other apps like razer software installed on the ssd. These programs run while i use my computer. Should I install those programs on my HDD since they always run while I use my computer?

In my personal opinion, I would just put everything you use the most on it. Such as a broswer, games, and component hardware as you have already said. The HDD (depending on the size) I would use to backup important things just in case of an emergency and keep pictures and recordings and such on there. Seems like you are already doing it right.

ALL normal programs on the SSD.
The actual games can go on either SSD or HDD, as size dictates.

In my system, I don't have that choice.
All my main systems are SSD only, so everything gets installed on an SSD...

Movies, music, backups....that stuff lives on the NAS box with spinning drives.
