Hello,

I recently got a 12 year old tower so I can convert it to a gaming PC. So far nothing is worth keeping but the case maybe and the PSU, but I was wondering if the motherboard could be used still. It's an MSI PM8M3-V (MS 7211). Help!

Short answer: no
Long answer: definitely not. The motherboard is too old to support any modern graphics cards. It has AGP, which is pretty old, and you could not put a modern GPU in the PCI slots. Also, please do not keep the PSU, I do not want you to hurt yourself or any of your components. If you want to upgrade and old PC, I'd recommend buying a cheap Dell Optiplex off eBay for like $30.

The PSU is not old at all, probably the only updated part in it.
It's an earthwatts 650w PSU. I'm a computer nubie so I'll defer to advisors but I wanna get something out of it
