Stock cooler from pentium g4560 to a i5 6600k

Solution
Yes, it is compatible.

Go ahead and try it.
You may find that the cooler gets noisy under load.
And, you may need to run at the stock clock or even less.
I had an extra I5-6600K which I installed in a small ITX case. It ran just fine with an old stock cooler but it was noisy.
Two things to do:

1. Make certain that the cooler is mounted well.
All 4 pushpins should be through the motherboard and locked.

2. Insure that your case has plenty of intake airflow so the cooler can do its job.

You always have options to reduce the multiplier if you need to.
I doubt you will though.

The i5 K suffixed processor part doesn't come with a stock cooler because:
a| People buying them will want to overclock on them
b| The stock cooler only added more weight to logistics+resource costs and they were chucked in the bin on the previous iterations
c| The stock cooler wasn't even adequate to tame the heat dumped off a K suffixed processor

Simple answer, don't do it and no it wont work. Best buy a Cryorig H7 cooler for 35USD.
