Hey guys I'm reasonably new to PC gaming and I have bought Player Unknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG). I have recently had a slight issue with the title as the buildings don't render in time from me jumping out of the plane and landing to loot. I have heard of numerous fixes regarding an SSD and more RAM but I don't know what to believe. Any advice? I get paid in 10 days so I would like to know what to get first.

1TB WD Blue HDD

An SSD will help, obviously. It helps with everything over a mechanical drive...

However, that is not the games systems minimal requirements. So it shouldn't be doing texture popin simply because you were not running on an SSD. This is a game issue.

Either way, there is nothing wrong with going with SSD and more memory. Should help in other games as well.

Very positive as people saying they jumped up from 8GB to 16GB so I don't know any graphics cards with that much VRAM

You need to tweak the post-processing feature in your game settings. Nothing to do with your setup. However, this will mean more workload for your PC, and can reduce your FPS. If you're not comfortable with the results, and you want high FPS and also fix this, then you may need to upgrade.

I only ask because your card only has 3gb of vram.

You can try to increase virtual page file size and see if that does anything for you.

Click on start, right click on PC and select properties, click on advanced system setting and click on settings under performance, then select advanced tab.

Under "virtual memory" select change.

Uncheck "automatically manage paging file size for all drives" and select "custom" then set Initial size and Maximum size to 8000mb

Hit 'Set" and then "ok" and it should ask you to reboot your PC. Do that and try to play the game again.

That will artificially increase your ram to 16gb. Using the hard drive disk space as Ram. It is not as fast but may resolve your issue. If it does. Then maybe upgrading memory might work for you.

Can't find it I'm on Windows 10 just to clarify

Yeah those instructions are for Windows 10.

Try to go to control panel at the top right search put "advanced system" it should display "view advanced system settings" you should be able to find it from there.

But like I said before I really don't think your system is the issue. It is most likely a game option setting causing the problem.

Didn't fix it :(

Kind of figured it wouldn't.

As I said earlier. Try playing with your in game video settings. Try going to your display control panel and setting things to performance mode instead of quality mode etc...

I highly suspect issue is in the game video settings it's self.

Legitimately all I got was a try reinstalling it and verifying files... Thats all I got. I had tried that before I asked anyone like really? What a poor help

Okay so after buying an SSD and installing the game to that it fixed my issue, the extra RAM is a nice bonus and my system runs faster than ever before. So yes the SSD did help.
