Good day,

I have been having this problem for almost one year now. I don't know what else to do except use my PC as a giant expensive paper weight. Please help.

After approximately 1 hr of usage, my computer will power off, and then reboot after 3-5 s. It will get to the windows login, and then about 20 seconds later, it powers off and reboots again. This will continue until the Windows 10 repair tool loads, which never finds a problem. Importantly, this screen doesn't cause the power down. Also, when Im in the BIOS, the computer does not power off. I have found that if I unplug my PSU from the outlet on the wall and wait a few hours, I am able to use the computer again for another hour. If I don't unplug it and simply turn it on, the process repeats.

The error is Kernel 41.

My peripherals include a Logitech G410 keyboard, a SteelSeries Rival 100 mouse, and a SteelSeries Siberia 150 headset.

I am currently running windows 10, installed from a USB created on a mac. I purchased the Windows 10 Key from reddit. I have a windows 7 key available which I have not yet tried.

This is my current build: https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/QxyMWX
The original build: https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/Tj3xBP

So far, I have:
1) Advanced RMA PSU
2) RMA MOBO
3) RMA RAM
4) RMA HDD
5) RMA GPU
6) Replaced Case
7) Replaced CMOS battery
8) Replaced MOBO
9) Added CPU cooler
10) Tried installing Windows on HDD instead of SSD, no change in problem.

I've tried reinstalling windows 10 several times. I've run memtest without any issues. I've stressed the PC with FurMark and had no problems with temperatures. My CPU Idle's in the 25oC range, and with gaming goes up to 40oC. GPU is usually in the 45oC range with gaming. I've added 2 additional case fans just in case overheating could be an issue and the mobo wasn't reporting accurate temps. The only game I really play is Dota 2. I can finish a game of dota 2, start a second one and then the power off will occur.

I've taken it to 2 repair shops, one suggested replacing the PSU, which I then did an advance RMA on, the other suggested that my HDD had bad sectors, so I did an RMA on that.

I'm lost. Things I'm considering doing:
1) Replace the PSU with a different EVGA model, maybe with more Watts. However, with the advanced RMA not resulting in a change, I don't see how the PSU could be at fault, unless they sent me back a faulty PSU.
2) Add a DVD/CD player, purchase Windows 10, and install from CD. Maybe making the bootable USB on my mac is a problem.
3) Replacing the RAM. Again, since I've already done an RMA on this, I don't know how this could still be the problem.
4) RMA the SSD. I've run a disk check and the samsung tool to check the health of the SSD, and have found no problems. I've tried disconnecting the drive entirely from the computer and installing on the HDD alone, the problem persisted.
5) RMA the CPU. I can't see how this is a CPU problem since the computer is able to boot and it is definitely not overheating.
6) Could this be a software issue? I could try to install windows 7 and if the problem continues.

Please, please, please please help. I am lost at this point and apart from continuing to replace parts, which hasn't worked yet, I am out of ideas. Thanks in advance for reading this text wall and providing any possible suggestions.

The mouse has been present the entire time. The keyboard and headset have been replaced and the problem persisted. I can try borrowing a mouse.

UPDATE: Tried changing to a generic Microsoft USB mouse, problem persisted.

There's two major possibilities now - either you still have a faulty PSU, or your power outlet is bad. Try running a friends PC from the same power outlet as you use your current PC from, preferably with a similar PSU. Also, try to use your PSU in a different system, see if that one behaves like that as well.

I tried that too, so I upgraded my cheap power bar to an APC BACK-UPS ES BE550G 8-Outlet 550VA 330W UPS. The problem persisted.

UPDATE: I've replaced the CPU and the problem still occurs. I've tried different RAM, different hard drives, and different peripherals without any improvement. I've also tried using the computer in two other homes, no change.

With regards to the PSU, EVGA said they tested my previous PSU and found no problems. Also, my computer ran all night in the BIOS without rebooting. They will replace the PSU, so I guess that's my only chance at this point. I'm about to just buy an imac and be done with this.
