Hey there, just a couple days ago my computer suddenly started freezing for really long periods of time. I just started it up one day, and I got an error message that Windows could not load my user profile and has "loaded the default profile for this system" The bootup time for Windows to startup completely was about ten minutes. The desktop icons (I don't have many) took a full 2-3 minutes to display. Whenever I would try to use the computer, the whole thing would freeze and hang for several minutes at a time. I would be able to move the mouse during this time, however, but as soon as I clicked any icons, the computer would freeze again for several minutes. I have tried to run antivirus to determine if this was a virus attack, but Malwarebytes either crashes on Windows startup or it will launch, but display a white screen and crash as soon as I try to scan.

There are massive spikes in CPU usage which I cannot determine the cause of. Nothing has been downloaded prior to this occurrence and prior to this incident I have only been on YouTube, Kongregate, and ArmorGames, all of which are safe websites which require no download of software. Just to give you an idea of how bad the issue is, right-clicking on an icon to bring up the dropdown takes several minutes.

Does anyone have any idea what could be causing the problem and how this can be fixed?

Edit: I just tried booting into safe mode but the keys are unresponsive when I try to select Safe Mode. So that's not an option. Also, when I try to shut the computer down or restart, explorer.exe crashes. The system will hang on a blank desktop for several minutes before finally starting the shutdown process.
