I have a HP Slimline 411-a000na Desktop PC With 4GB DDR3 Preinstalled
I bought a Crucial 4GB DDR3 Stick which I don't know the statistics of but if they are important let me know and ill get them for you, Both of my RAM Sticks work individually as I have tested them, however as soon as I put them together Windows refuses to boot and my monitor notifies me its going to sleep.

I know I probably did something wrong down the line but I cant point my finger on what..
the RAM sets work individually which to me would make sense for them to work together..
I've tried to mess with the CMOS battery, removed it and put it back in and nothing changed..
I re arranged the RAM sticks to see if they would work in different slots. no luck.
Could anyone point me to a solution, or tell me where I went wrong?

If you need more info about my computer just ask, everything stock though so if you search for the specs of the 44-a000na you will find everything you need to know.

Thank you for your help :)

EDIT: I see a lot of the solutions to these threads are to do with certain RAM Slots being the correct ones to run dual channelling however my motherboard has 2 RAM slots total and they look nothing like a regular motherboard, the CPU on this motherboard is also integrated... I bought an i5 for nothing. I do not recommend this desktop, nor do I personally recommend HP at all.

The most logical answers to me are:
1) the RAM Sticks run at different speeds or are not compatible
2) I'm too stupid to see a simple solution
3) My 100 and something watt powersupply can not handle an extra tad of power?

1| It's bad practice to mix and match ram sticks/kits. Often times they work but the other times they are leaving one to wonder what went wrong.

2| If you must upgrade your ram for a higher capacity, make sure you go for a kit(same as how you;d be buying a pair of shoes). In your case a 2x4GB DDR3-1333Mhz/1600MHz 1.5/1.65v kit.

3| Always make sure your system has the latest BIOS update prior to dropping in any ram or CPU upgrades.

You could pass on a picture of the stickered information of both your ram sticks.

Thank you for your reply. I made the mistake of thinking RAM Specs were as simple as it is to plug in.
Is there any hope for this piece of junk? I can give you the information on the stickers but its just numbers and letters to me.

The Stock Ram

4GB 1RxB PC3l - 12800s - 11 - 13 - B4
HMT451S6BFR8A-PB NO AA 1583

Crucial 4GB DDR3 (Additional RAM I purchases myself)
CT51264BF160B 4GB DDRL3 - 1600 SOYIMM 1.35v CL11

I notice the stock rams sticker doesnt have much information on it.
