I have the same specs as this computerhttps://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883156082 and I am wondering if anyone could tell me if I need to buy a bigger PSU to get the GTX 1030 for my computer to do medium gaming on.

Solution
No you don't need a new psu. But in my opinion getting a gt1030 is wasting your cpu potencial. If I were you I would buy a gtx 1050ti. For that you do need to change your psu to 400w. You should go for 500w , but I am running a gtx 1070 with pentium on a 400w psu , so you will be fine as well. :)

You can buy the best card that is the cheapest of all gtx 1050ti's. It is evga card. Here is the link.: https://www.amazon.co.uk/EVGA-04G-P4-6251-KR-GeForce-Support-Graphics/dp/B01M66IJ55/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1502233403&sr=8-3&keywords=evga+gtx+1050ti

You need a psu as well. The best cheap psu is this one.: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/zNK7YJ/evga-power-supply-100b10500kr
All will fit in your pc for sure. It's just sad to not get 100% from your rig. If you are planning to game just buy two of the things and you are good to go. It's a metter of 175gbp or something like that. :)

If that PC you linked is the same case as your PC then it looks like it should be able to handle it. It needs two slot openings on the back of the case, just one internal slot. When you open your case, If you look at the PCIe slot internally and then look if the space right below it doesn't have anything, then you should be OK for that card.

There are two openings right next to the power plug in if that is what you mean.

Unfortunately, that looks like the micro tower. It has a 1/2 height PCIe slot. That makes it hard to find a replacement card, but I think this one will fit it.

You can call Newegg and tell them the PC you have and they should be able to tell you for sure, but I am pretty sure that it will fit in that case. It just HAS to be a low profile card though.

Good luck. I hope I have been some help for you.

I have the SFF version of the computer not mini here is the card I was looking at https://www.amazon.com/Gigabyte-Geforce-Profile-Graphic-GV-N105TOC-4GL/dp/B06WWLWWJM/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1502235308&sr=1-1-fkmr0&keywords=gtx+1050+ti+3gb+low+profile

OK. I do believe the SFF version will hold that card. You may still have to get a better PSU though. 225 watts isn't a lot, but the 1050ti doesn't draw a lot of power, so you may be OK. If you do have to upgrade the power supply, you definitely want to make sure to get a SFF power supply. You might also need this adaptor as the MB of that Dell has a proprietary connection. If you get a SFF PSU, you might also need this The 8-pin connector plugs into the MB and the other side from the PSU.

The support at moddify may be helpful finding a better PSU for you.

I was planning to get this PSU that was recommended by a tech company https://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Factor-Modular-Certified-Warranty/dp/B01CGGOXWQ and then I would get this card https://www.amazon.com/Gigabyte-Geforce-Profile-Graphic-GV-N105TOC-4GL/dp/B06WWLWWJM/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1502235308&sr=1-1-fkmr0&keywords=gtx+1050+ti+3gb+low+profile if you can find a cheaper PSU that would fit my computer could you show me.

I think that should work. You might want to contact the seller to see if they think it will physically fit your case, but I think it should. It is going to be hard to find a cheaper SFF PSU though with that power. You might need that adapter cable I linked also.
