That's isn't a issue I'm having, just a doubt.
I have a Gigabyte 970A-DS3P rev2.x and by curiosity I stopped by it's memory compability page to check it out.

I noticed that my Memory RAM isn't on the compability list, but it has been working properly since a bought it.
Looking at not very reliable sources I was able to understand that not having a compatible RAM with your MoBo won't prevent it from working, but it'll prevent from overclocking It.

Can someone confirm this info for me?

Yeah. Then you should be OK.

Manufacturers cant test for every single memory chip, they do a general test and make recommendations etc... That doesn't mean none manufactured rams wouldn't work either. They are just not the "recommended" modules.
Normally if the memory isn't compatible you will run into memory related errors, blue screen or it simply wont boot. Just because your memory isnt on the recommended compatibility list. Doesn't mean it isn't compatible. That is simple a recommendation list of rams tested with the board.

If you want to be sure your ram is OK. You can run either Windows Memory Diag test or use MemTest86 program to test your memory.

I'd suggest if it will past you are not currently having issues.

I've done those tests before, there's nothing wrong, it was just my curiosity on this topic, thank!
