AMD ryzen 3 vs. FX-8320

I was wondering would ryzen be better for mainly gaming or is the FX still good. I have a AMD 760 quad core right now and a 960 evga FTW.

You would be much better off going with the Ryzen 3, you at least have an upgrade path in the future, the FX/AM3+ series is dead and there isn't any point in getting that now that we have Ryzen.
