R9 280X : Lagging performance

Hello community,

I have problems here. My R9 280X can't performs well.

-Graphics lag/stuck
-Drop FPS for sometime.

But, I tried to fix it by clean the dust, apply the new thermal paste, and update the drivers. I still got the same result. I just played Garry's Mod, Battlefield 3.

GC: R9 280X
Proc: Intel i5-4570
RAM: 8GB
Mobo: Intel DH67BL

that is the reason your fps suck


make sure the cpu cooler is installed properly and the fans are working

are you monitoring cpu temps?


also make and model of power supply?

Normal without game around 40°C-70°C, 70°C-80°C while in game, sometime reached to 90°C.

About power supply I don't remember the brand name, but I trust it has 550W.
