Prime 95 freezing during blend test

Hi guys.
Here are my specs:
CPU:i7-4790k 4,0ghz
GPU:Gigabyte gtx 760 windforce 3x of edition 2gb 256 bit
RAM:hyper x red 1x8gb DDR 3 1600 mhz
PSU:ANTEC 650w 92%
HDD:500gb Caviar Blue
MOBO:gigabyte z97x-gaming 5

Here is my problem :
After 1 minute in prime 95 blend test my PC freezes completely ,can't move the mouse ,the restart button doesn't WORK,it needs to turn off by the power button and then start again.
I experience this even in games after 15-30 minutes of playing.
If I go in bios and lower my RAM frequency to 800mhz it will still freeze but in 5 minutes in prime 95 and 1-2 hours in games.
What I've tried:
-replacing RAM
-replacing HDD
-replacing thermal paste on the CPU and GPU
-replacing video card
Please help me guys.
At this moment I ask you guys ,I've searched a lot and moved between the CPU and mobo,but it could be the CPU heatsink?

What cooler and how hot does the CPU get? Did you check if it throttles (Intel XTU is an excellent tool to monitor the CPU)? The Intel stock cooler isn't good enough to prevent throttling when running Prime95 28.5 or newer.

I have a deepcool gammax 400.
60 degrees with processor at 3.4ghz and like 70 with cpu at 4,0ghz

Then the CPU is cool enough and that probably isn't the issue.

Then there's an issue with your CPU; it should throttle at 100°C, but that doesn't cause it to freeze. Did you use Intel XTU to monitor it? That may help when you contact Intel to RMA your CPU.

yes .this is clearly my problem.after 60 degrees my cpu freeze.but i don;t know how to fix it.maybe this problem appeared when i updated the bios?

60c is a routine gaming temp; I'd be checking thermal/ power profiles inBIOS to make sure no one has selected anything odd, which is anything other than normal/ default....

these are all my bios settings.i mention that i underclocked my cpu to 3.0ghz just to don't get froze up.

What are the Intel XTU results when you keep the CPU running at its rated speed and stress test it to make it hotter than 60°C? Running it slower prevents the issue, but are you willing to live with that solution? I wouldn't.

I think I have a problem with my Intel xtu.I saw it to other guys on YouTube and is different from mine.I don't have the overclock settings and if I stress test the CPU it only loads it at 25%

You use it strictly to monitor the CPU, not to stress it; the stress test is totally useless. Enable all hardware monitors and run Prime95 version 26.6 (the latest version will get it too hot and it will quickly freeze - not normal, but that's the issue you'e trying to resolve). Monitor XTU to see what happens. If you want to use XTU as a preliminary stress test, then use Benchmarking that seems to stress the CPU more than the stress test.

If Intel Diagnostic tool finds any error then its a bad processor and needs to be sent for RMA.

The test obviously won't fail if the CPU is cool enough; your issue occurs only when the temperature exceeds 60°C and it can't run once the PC is frozen.

What are the XTU results when you get the CPU warmer than 60°C? Ultimately you'll have to contact Intel to RMA your CPU if it fails when warmer than 60°C.

It seems your cpu is fine but freezing in prime95 still points to the cpu. As you have tried different RAM sticks, so RAM is out of the question;
My guess would be the motherboard or the PSU. Try using a spare PSU if you have and see if it still freezes; If the system still freezes, then IMO its the motherboard.

If the system freezes when the CPU is warmer than 60°C, then I'd suspect the CPU more than the motherboard or the PSU.

Man,my question is:Can it be the bios?When i had F5 bios all was working good,now with the F7 the freezes appeared.
I;ve looked in the bios support list and my i7 4790k supports F5 bios,maybe this bios is not for my cpu.Here is the list with bios support.

BIOS F5 is the minimum required to support your CPU; F7 obviously supports it. Are you saying that the issue started on the day that you upgraded the BIOS to F7?

Yes,after I updated the bios all of these started.First I had a lot of blue screens and error,then I changed the windows and these disappeared but the freezes started.I've installed the f6 bios but still same,and now I have the f7 bios

Go back to F5 and if the issue no longer occurs, then Sohom is correct, i.e., the issue is with the motherboard (or the BIOS). Did you reset to the default values and save the settings after flashing F7? That's an important step to prevent issues. Once done, you can use your custom settings again.

Always do a bios update in an orderly fashion, i.e, f5 then f6 and then f7. And always remember to reset CMOS after every bios update by taking out the mobo battery.
And one more advice, if its working perfect, never update bios unless you are a pro at such sorts. And dont keep on flashing older and newer versions as you wish, you will brick your mobo.
