i7 4790K at 4.5 GHz temp values

Hi there,

My CPU is fixed at 4.5 GHz with 1.190v. I have done some stability and stress tests to my PC and it looks fine. However I am not sure about my CPU's temperature values. I used AIDA64 and Core Temp to monitor my values. It looks like a little bit high since my core voltage is pretty low. I used to make it work with 1.235v last year and it was colder than this. When I saw my high temp values, I decided to return to default values in order to prevent over heating. And then I have done some cleaning in my case. After the cleaning, I decided to fix it to 4.5 GHz again and started to adjust my core voltage. It seems pretty good with this voltage but I don't know why it is pretty hot still. I will add an SS of the temperature values under 100% workload. Btw, the fan on the liquid cooler's radiator faces inside of the case, not outside. Can you help me about this issue since I think these values are not normal when I compare them with my old values?

System Specs:
i7 4790k
Gigabyte Z97-X Gaming 5
GALAX GTX 970 HOF
Cooler Master Seidon 120M
Corsair CX750 80+
Corsair Carbide 400R

Hi there,

Thanks for your answer. I have just refreshed the paste (I used Xigmatek paste) before this stress test and tighten down the block to max. I spread paste out equally over the CPU. I don't know what is the right amount of paste but it seemed enough for me. As you advised, I will check the cooling system once more. By the way, should I use a Noctua paste instead of Xigmatek to get better cooling solution and should I change the radiator's fan from inside to outside of the case which I mention in the first message?

Regards.
