Tried playing CS:GO but keep getting this error. I have a GTX 1080, i7-4770 and 24GB of RAM. Used to be able to run it fine.
I've re-installed DirectX + Vcredist. I've also re-installed my graphics card driver and installed again using GeForce Experience.
I can play other games such as PUBG, Hellblade Senua's Sacrifice completely fine.
Completely out of ideas and don't know what to do, any help would be appreciated.

It seems that everything is fine with your display it's correctly recognized. Could you please try this if you didn't -

It's the first text in bold.

Also most of these problems are related to either corrupted graphics driver files and conflict between Intel HD and Graphics Card, and most of the people who tried DDU had this issue fixed. You could also try reinstalling Direct-X just to make sure.

I un-installed using Device Manager then Windows 10's "Add or Remove Programs", restarted then updated off of GeForce. I have already watched that video and done what he suggested but have the same issue. I will have a look at the DDU program, thanks for the suggestion.

Just tried DDU and followed the instructions to make sure I did it right, but still getting the same error unfortunately. I don't know what to do anymore, thanks for the suggestion though.

Please could you post a print of your "dxdiag" screen? I would like a print of both System Info (first tab) and Display 1 tab. To do this just open Windows Start Menu type "run" open the "Run" application and type "dxdiag" without quotes and press OK.

Wasn't sure if you wanted screen shots or the txt document so I included both, thanks for taking a look.

I am already running the "Windows Creator Update" and already re-installed DirectX with the version you sent me, also with the version inside the CS:GO install folder. I think the next best thing I can do is re-image my version of Windows 10, thanks for all of the help. It's a bummer we couldn't get it working. Have a good one

Games works now after a reformat. Before I did reformat, I discovered that Garry's Mod ran fine even though it uses the same engine and runtime, I just though that was weird. Oh well, all is good now. Thanks for the help once again.
