Hi, I need some advice on this!

Specs:
Dell 790 MT
E93839/KA0121 motherboard
i7 2600k
HP Compaq LA 1905wg monitor DVI
Corsair CX 600
4 GB RAM
1T HD

I put an i7 2600k into my mobo today.
Started up alright but nothing from the monitor at all.
The OS is working because I can hear the sound when you get the the password part.

I put the i3 2100 back in and no prolems!

Any idea why the monitor is still asleep?

Thanks in advance.

The problem is the graphics chip on i7 2600k.

It's got an Intel HD 3000 graphics chip, but the motherboard on your Dell only supports Intel HD 2000 graphics chip.

Your Intel i3 2100 has an HD 2000 graphics chip, which is why your display works with that one.

If you want to use that Intel i7 you will also have to install a graphics card to connect the monitor to.

Ok, thanks for that.
Bios ia A19 up todate I think!
Right I understand about the integrated chip now.
So the i7 is too powerful for the HD2000 chip.
I was given a GTX 650ti lately but haven't tried it yet.
That should fix the problem.
I looked in bios and the Pci is enabled.
Do I have to disable the integrated or is that done auto?

I already have have the i7 so I'm going to go with it.
I'm thinking about a new mother board.
What would be good for these specs?

E93839/KA0121 motherboard
i7 2600k
GTX 650ti card
HP Compaq LA 1905wg monitor DVI
Corsair CX 600
4 GB RAM

Thanks in advance.
