Hello.
I have a question about BIOS for AsRock Fatal1ty B250 Gaming K4 motherboard.
I have BIOS v1.1 (first release)
The latest one is v2.0
There are changelogs on official AsRock website:
1.10
First released.
1.40
1.Update Intel Microcode.
2.Update LED light module.
2.00
Support Intel Optane Memory Technology.
I'm not using Optane Drives, don't care about LEDs too,
but "microcode" change sounds interesting. Sadly can't find any details or explaination about it anywhere in web.
Could be it something that will affect performance and grants some FPS in newer games?
Or just change that I wouldn't even notice while playing video games? Maybe someone here got same mobo and updated its BIOS and can tell if it's worth to update?
I've heard some drastic stories about updating BIOS, bricking mobos etc. This mobo is single BIOS only too. So I'm a bit scaried.
I have i5-7500 CPU and MSI GTX 1060 Gaming X Plus 6GB if this matter - well, the GPU is newer than mobo and 1.1 bios release date, so maybe it's some reason to update a BIOS and take a risk?
Thank You.
