Solution

It's poorly implemented and usually doesn't work so it's not on your end but on the games end. Don't worry about it.

Seems the game doesnt really support SLI but Nvidia is trying to force it. Looks like the newer drivers from Nvidia have a profile for sli for the game now, make sure your up to date on your drivers.

Also if you havent already try reading through this https://forums.playbattlegrounds.com/topic/5351-sli-fix/?page=4

Days of sli and CF support for games are going away as game developers are not supporting or doing a half @ss job in making there games compatible. This is most likely because games are now being made cross platform and consoles dont use SLI/CF

Yep checked that already, seemingly i have driver 384.94. Everything seems up to date as far as i can tell. Those guys claim that there is a "official sli profile" with latest driver and that was 384.76 apparently that profile is invisible because im not seeing it under sli rendering mode. Everything is set to nvidia recommended currently as well. At this point im about to chalk it up to the games fault its still in early access so i guess thats understandable.

would be nice if that msi 1080 ti was selling for the price its suppose to be at on amazon.
