Can I add a second PSU to power 4 GPUs?

Actually I have a PC with i7-4790K CPU, ASUS Z97‑A/USB 3.1 motherboard, 16GB RAM, one GTX 1070, one GTX 970, 750 watts bronze PSU. I want to turn it into a rendering machine by selling my cards and getting 4 new GTX 1080s. Since I already have a PSU and it has enough wattage to power the whole PC with two GTX 1080s, I just want to add a seond PSU to power the two additional cards. I made the calculations in a online PSU wattage calculator and 750 watts is enough for the system with two cards. I already tried to calculate the power needed for two cards alone, but the results seem a little bit exagerated because I think is adding some more wattage beside the two cards. How much do you think will be enough to power two GTX 1080s alone?

Of course for now I don't have the budget and I'll need to wait months to build it, but is free to ask here. Right? Thanks for reading my post.

There can be slight variance in voltages supplied by the different PSU, which could potentially cause issues as the gpus will be drawing from the motherboard (which is connected to one PSU) and from the pci-e connectors which could be another PSU. You would also want to use a common ground.

Apparently using something like this is a safer method
