Hi,
I just got Creative Audigy Rx (SB1550), is there a way to test the quality of the card with some software ?

Solution
Not AFAIK.
Every speaker/headphone is different which makes testing very problematic.

Unless there are crackles or other sound issues I would assume it's working properly.

I know such software exists but I'm not certain it really does much, or may only work with very high-end systems with expensive microphones that can analyze generated tones.

I'm no expert but I've never seen a method that I trust. Heck, there's LOTS of people that swear on-board is as good as a good sound card now (not true), and people that swear speakers need a long break-in time (not true?) but I don't see any DEFINITIVE PROOF so I don't think there's any good testing methodology.

Quality of the card? What do you mean by that? You can find out how good it is in terms of what amp and DAC it is using by looking at a spec sheet, or plugging in some good hard to drive headphones and see how they sound compared to the mobo's built in audio.
