I don't have a VGA or display port cable and there are no more HDMI ports left on my GPU. i have just got my new monitor but if I plug it in via HDMI on my mobo It says no signal, is there anyway i can rectify this? thanks.

If you're playing games on the newly connected display, it is using integrated graphics. To ensure you are using your dedicated graphics card, only play games on the display connected to the graphics card.

The easier way to resolve this is to connect your second display to your graphics card using a displayport to HDMI cable.

looking for model numbers here:

What displays do you have?
What graphics card do you have?
What motherboard do you have?

It may be possible to re-enable the on-board graphics of the motherboard through BIOS, but there may be other solutions as well.

Ok. Go here to download your motherboard manual (if you need to).

You'll need to boot up into BIOS. Pg. 45 shows you how to get into Advanced Mode.
Pg. 46, click on Settings and then Advanced.
Under Advanced, you should see an option for Integrated Peripherals. One option there should be Integrated Graphics Configuration (Pg. 48).
Pg. 49, there should be an option for IGD Multi-Monitor. Set this to Enabled.
Save your changes and exit BIOS. This should enable the on-board graphics and allow you to set up the second display.

An easier option would be to just purchase a DisplayPort to HDMI or DVI-D to HDMI cable and connect to your graphics card.
