I'm looking for a good RAID enclosure (offers RAID 0/1/5) to fit 4 hard drives in as I'm looking to expand my growing storage needs with greater speed than a single external drive can give me.
What kinds of speeds can I expect to see with RAID 0,RAID 1 and RAID 5? I ask because I want to know if it's worth using RAID 5 or if it's better to simply get 2 drives set in RAID 0 for full performance when editing 4K video and another pair of drives set in a separate RAID 1 enclosure that I will back up to each night?
I have a MacBook Pro with Retina Display (late 2013 model) so I can use a USB-C to USB 3 (A connector) for now and when I get a future laptop, make use of full USB-C speeds so I'm thinking about current and future needs too.

I've decided that I'll use the WD Red Pro or WD Gold drives as I saw impressive speeds from them on Macs (from youtube videos I saw that showed 241MB/s write for the WD Gold drive as a single drive).
