Hi guys just wanted to see if my temps seem normal to you because i have a Deepcool Gammaxx200T with my Core i5 2500 and just today when i was playing a game my system shut off and when i turned it back on my CPU temps was going between 50°C to 55°C on idle (no idea on full load yet) and also the weather has been pretty humid lately.

Here is an image of my CPU temp as well

So i would like to know what might be the problem and also last week i was getting idle temps of 47°C and also cleaned the fan on my CPU cooler as well recently because i noticed the dust on it so pretty much need to know if i might need to change my thermal paste and also it has been a year since i last put some on (also like to mention that the CPU cooler is a real pain in the butt to remove and put on) when i first installed it took me 40 min to install it which you can see from this link on what kind of cooler it is http://

If you are that worried about it go buy a Hyper 212 Evo and apply some new thermal paste. That cooler is the gold standard for air cooling. It should work on your system just fine. Ive have a 212 Evo install on an i5 2500k @ 4.4Ghz and it only gets to about 65C on load. Before anything else though, just check to see if the fan on your cooler is even working. If it is, turn up your fan speed. If that still doesn't help, buy a new CPU cooler. The only other thing I can think of (If you do not have the $30 for a 212 Evo) is to just open up the side of your case and put a box fan on it. It is obviously not the best solution but its better than nothing.

Ya the thing is if i get a newer cooler i am planning on getting a Silverstone AR06 because i prefer that type of cooler and also for my next build i plan on making an ITX system and yes the fan is spinning as well and i don't know how to make it spin faster.
Also my motherboard is the Asus P8H61M-LE in case you might ask what kind of board i have as well.

Besides doing the normal things for temp, always double check the direction the fans are facing. You want air coming in one way and going out another way. Sometimes people forget and they end up having them all in or all out and it causes problems.

I have an EVO 212, and it once was the gold standard for air coolers, but the Cyroig (spelling?) air cooling solutions are bypassing it at a better price. Try Googling some comparisons if you decide you want to go that route. You cooler should be able to handle your CPU pretty well tho. Since you've already ensured there's no dust, I would next want to eliminate the thermal paste as being a possible cause. Get a little tube of good quality paste unless that's what you already have. Application techniques vary like crazy (pea size, rice size, line, spread..) but I personally like to spread a very thin layer on the CPU itself..little goes a long way. What about your case fans..do you have good airflow thru the case? 1 In/1 Out or 2 In/1 Out is common. You can also see if you can control the fan curve on the CPU Heatsink (most likely thru the BIOS) and make it more aggressive. Ambient room temperature can easily bump you up 10c this time of year.

The way this fan is made when you look at the link there is no way you could have it on backwards because look at this image and you can see what i mean from the top area.

The only thing on my CPU cooler i cleaned was the fan which i have no more air duster to see if there might be dust in the heatsink also i have on my case 3 fans 1 in the front which is intake 1 on the side which is intake as well and 1 in the back which it outtake also the top of my case has an air vent but no way to apply another fan on it.
Also i am thinking when i build my new system (which will have a core i5 7400 because it is what i can afford and i am on team blue anyways always) i am thinking of getting the Node 202 or this one from Rosewill

Which can have 5 fans in total 2 in the front 2 on the top and 1 in the back which if i do get that case the 2 on the top will be the outtake.

You should be able to pop the fan off the heatsink and see what kind of dust build-up you have in the cooling fins. I still recommend re-applying thermal paste. You current case fan solution sounds decent enough. Go thru the BIOS as well and see about adjusting the CPU Fan curve.

I actually meant your whole computer, not the processor fan.
