Hey fellas, i'm getting quite concerned about the temps on my new CPU. Idle i'm sitting around 30-35 degrees and while playing PUBG i've been hitting up to 82 degrees with a Noctua nh d14 cooler.

I'm not overclocking the cpu and i haven't enabled the extra boost from my motherboard either, it should be running purely on stock settings.

I've looked around and seen the high temps go to about 80 but hitting 82 while playing PUBG?... I know that the game isn't well optimised or well polished but i doubt this game can push this cpu to these degrees.

Voltage range goes from sub 1V to 1.3V according to Core Temp. I have no idea whether this is a good source of information so please tell me if there are any better options.

I just bought the cpu, mobo and the rest of the hardware besides the GPU and i haven't checked whether the BIOS is up to date but i will do that right after i've posted this thread.

If there is anything else you guys need to know, ask away and i will answer to the best of my ability.

Turn the fans up on your CPU cooler. You also need to make sure you have enough air flow going into your case. You want more air flow into your case then you have going out. Your Bios will have some kind of fan speed control. If you dont want to use that, then your Motherboard should have come with some kind of software that can change the speed of the fans on your CPU cooler.

I'm using a cooler master storm stryker case, i believe it has decent airflow with the 4 fans running. But honestly i didn't even think of increasing the fan speed as i've used a water cooler the last 5 years time. I've increased the fan speed at all given levels while still having the smart-fan enabled at certain temps;

30C - 40%
45C - 60%
60C - 80%
65C - 100%

Would you suggest i increase the fan speed further or do you believe this will suffice? Also a huge thank you for actually saying that!
