Buying mining GPUs

How bad is it to buy a used one off ebay (most likely used to mine)? I am really wanting a new GPU and have been waiting months for prices to be semi decent. With 1070s still at $450 I don't think they'll come down soon.

Should not be too bad if it's from responsible owner. Miners take care of their GPUs because they are expensive, have many of them and have to make money. Frequently they even undervolt them because it doesn't affect performance for mining. Only thing that is actually wearing down are fans from running 24/7.
