Mass Effect Andromeda causes monitor to lose signal after splash screen

I've been playing Mass Effect Andromeda for awhile with absolutely no issues until recently after restarting my computer. Now after the splash screen, sometimes in the middle of loading the main menu and other times when it finishes my monitor loses signal and my only option is to hard restart my PC.
I was able to get it working a few times by pressing Alt+Enter during the splash screen which puts it into windowed mode, although as soon as I switched back to fullscreen or Borderless in the settings my monitor would lose signal again but after reinstalling the game (twice) not even this method works anymore. Anyone have some insight on this? All I've been able to find online is the "black screen" bug, but that's not the issue I'm having.

Things I've tried:

  • repairing the game
    reinstalling the game
clean install of the latest GPU drivers (AMD)

Solution

Good to know you figured out, happy gaming. :)

Could you try answering these bellow?

1 - Did you bought the game from Origin?
2 - Do you have any loose cables between your monitor and GPU?
3 - Can you check your game Refresh Rate? Also try checking those Adaptive Resolution settings I don't remember exactly the name but if you are not extending monitors or tvs try sliding to 0 or disable entirely.
4 - What's your monitor refresh rate?
5 - Does that only happens in Andromeda?

I did buy the game from Origin, DVI cable is snug, I can't get into the game settings because it crashes before then however looking at the config the Refresh Rate is set to 144 which matches my monitor's. I thought It was only this game however it's happening in Battlefield 1, Just Cause 3 and I'm sure most other games as well, I can at least load up the main menu in those games however. I'll also mention I tried booting the game on Integrated Graphics and aside from obvious performance issues the game (Andromeda) started up perfectly fine.

How did you uninstalled your graphics driver? Through control panel normally or did you used DDU? if not try DDU instead for a full uninstall of graphics driver and reinstall it again from AMD website.

I did it with DDU in Safe Mode, I was even able to update to a newer driver but the problem persisted.

Do you have any one you could borrow a GPU even if it's for testing only? Then we could figure it out if the GPU is failing on you since you've said it, it worked with Integrated Graphics... also what's your PSU (model and watt).

Most of my friends are on console but I think I can figure something out. My PSU is ancient and not a very good one at that, it's an Xtreme Gear 800W. I definitely have a better PSU I can get from someone later today so I'll probably test that first and will let you know

Looks like it was the PSU, I got a new EVGA 650G and everything is working great now :)
