Do I need a new PSU?

So I am playing a game called Warface. My GPU maxes out near 100% and then suddenly my screen goes black. Sometimes the pc resets and sometimes I need to shut it down. My specs are:

i5-6600k OC 4.5GHz @1.275V
ASUS GTX 970 OC
8gb 3200MHz Memory (Overclocked)
CX 450W 80+ Gold Certified PSU

Now the CPU can max out at around 150W when overclocked and the GTX 970 will max out at around 148W. So it only consumes 300W respectively and add another 50W for everything else like my SSD and HDD, fans and LED strip. That is 350W. So could I be seeing a PSU problem or a GPU problem?

Solution
Yeah, you should be able to keep the power limit well up, as too low will cause problems. Either way, still swap out that PSU and see what happens.
Good luck man, thanks for updating us!

The recommended PSU for the GTX 970 is 500W. So i would strongly suggest upgrading it. Do get one of good quality though being the life blood of your system. A good suggestion would be the Corsair RM650X - very good units, or, if your wallet allows, something from Seasonic. Cannot stress enough the importance of a good PSU.

a good 450w PSU should be able the sustain that system,
the problem might lies in the clock core, if it's exceed certain number, the display will gone / the app will crash right away (i had that kind of problem when i try to OC my 1050ti above 1911mhz)
or perhaps the RAM could be the source of problem, try to put it on stock clock instead and see if it works

I underclocked my GPU programatically using MSI After Burner, reset my CPU and RAM overclock and set the power limit to the minimum. Still it goes to black. It must be the power supply then.

getting a 550w 80+ gold should be good enough, something like EVGA G2 550w (it's from tier 1, don't worry)
hope ur issue got fixed after u change the PSU :D
