Hi,

I was wanting to make the change from an intel CPU to a new ryzen processor. The biggest negative I found was no SLI support, but one other thread said some Ryzen motherboards do support nvidia sli. Can anyone confirm this? If I make a new build with a ryzen mobo and cpu will I be able to run 2 or more nvidia gpus?

Thanks

Solution
You need an AM4 mobo with the X370 chipset to support SLI.

Edit: but not all X370 support SLI, so you'll need to double check the specs for a given mobo.

Most of the AM4 X370 motherboards support NVidia SLI, which means you will be able to run two NVidia GPUs. If you want more than two of the GPUs (only needed for professional work), then you should look into Ryzen Threadripper, which has 60 PCI-E for GPUs, means it's possible to connect at least 4 NVidia GPUs.
