Question about tempered glass cases

I'm heavily interested in purchasing a case with tempered glass panels. Main reason is I want to show off my Asrock Taichi board and I eventually want to replace my D14 with a liquid radiator, hopefully one that's a full CPU - GPU loop or even a CLL would be good. I was looking at the NZXT S340 Elite, but I'm thinking I might spring for the Phanteks Enthoo Evolv. My biggest question is how does the glass do in the long run? How easy is it to scratch or break? Are cases like this easy to build in without damaging the glass at all?

Tempered glass is HIGHLY resistant to scratches which basically means it's highly unlikely that you'll ever scratch that side panel. It also isn't static and therefore doesn't attract dust, etc. like a...

I just finished rebuilding my AMD build into Sharkoon DG7000-G Green case that also has TG side panel (link). Building wise, it wasn't any different than building the PC in a non-TG side panel case.
Though, since tempered glass weighs quite a bit, moving a case with TG side panel attached takes some muscle power. But once you remove the TG side panel, the rest of the case is lightweight.

As far as TG side panel strength goes, here's a non-English video where Sharkoon DG7000-G TG side panel strength was tested,

Can't say anything about scratching and longevity of TG side panel since i just finished the rebuild of my AMD build while being careful not to scratch my TG side panel. :D

Tempered glass is HIGHLY resistant to scratches which basically means it's highly unlikely that you'll ever scratch that side panel. It also isn't static and therefore doesn't attract dust, etc. like a acrylic panel would. It IS however possible to shatter it and hurt yourself... But that really won't happen unless you drop it or hit it really, really hard. TG panels are pretty strong. Just be careful not to hit it somewhere hard and you should be good. (also maybe just wipe down the panel after finishing handling it as it can however attract fingerprints :p )

Also, like Aeacus said the cases with tg will be much more heavy because the glass does way significantly more than plastic / acrylic
