Hello i have had this problem for a few weeks now and want to see if i can get any help before i rma the gpu just to have that not solve my problem. if im just watching 4k videos or any video it runs fine from what i can tell but once i load a game up it will play for a bit but always eventually goes to a green screen with a weird sound then i have to do a hard reset. i just replaced the psu for a thermaltake toughpower grand 750w got the newest nvidia drivers updated bios, then clear the cmos and replaced battery, checked all the cables to make sure everything was seated properly aswell as making sure the gpu was seated correctly and still nothing seems to solve it. Also the gpu has not been overclocked other then factory oc and if i go into msi afterburner it doesnt show voltage even thought i checked all the boxes for it.also the idle temps are about 30c for cpu and 28-30 for gpu and go as high as 70 on cpu when gaming and 68ish on the gpu i will be uploading screen shots from cpu-z and gpu-z once i get home. Thanks in advance for any help offered

my pc specs are

i7-7700k
msi aero 1080 ti 11gb oc
thermaltake toughpower grand 750w psu
evga 16gb ddr4
120gb ssd pny
1tb hdd toshiba

I uninstalled the drivers with ddu and reinstalled them several times. Sometimes it would allow the games to play for maybe half hour but it always ends in a complete freeze up needing a hard reset. Tried the most recent drivers aswell as older ones only thing i havent done yet is a clean install of windows but not confident that it would make a difference. Going to be retesting ram when i get home but dont think thats the fault either since besides for games i dont notice any problems and thanks for the quick reply
