I recently built my first gaming pc, asus tuf z270 mk.1, EVGA GTX 1080 ti ftw3, Corsair 850x power supply, corsair 570x crystal case, i7 7700k, and a 1tb adata ssd!!!

I built the thing (wearing a antistatic wrist strap), but the only thing turning on or running was my mobo rgb led, it was flashing orange, nothing else was on including my power button. I need help figuring out what is wrong!!!

Solution
You should test your power supply, It will always provide power to the PWR_ON pin on the ATX cable which explains the orange light. Remove the 8 and 24-pin connectors from the mainboard. After that use a paper clip to short the green pin and any black pin together, when you do that the PSU fan should run. If it doesn't something is wrong with your PSU.

If you try that and it works, try reseating your RAM and make sure it is in the correct channel.

Also be sure the 6-pin connector on graphics card is plugged in correctly.
1. MoBo LEDs are usually indicative of the problem having replaces the beep codes of yesteryear. Is this LED purely for "bling purposes" ? Or is it a troube indicator. Your MoBo manual should answer this question.

2. Did you remember to plug in the EPS cable next to the CPU ?
