So I am using a new dual monitor setup and having issues with my graphics card becoming overloaded (I think). Everything works fine when having a browser open on a regular webpage on the secondary monitor and a game running on the primary monitor. The problem arises when I am watching a video on the secondary monitor and playing a game on the primary monitor. I will often (not always) get a freeze on both monitors and the monitors will turn black and say "display port not available" "HDMI not available" respectively. This is a problem since that is the whole reason I wanted the dual monitor setup.. to watch twitch/youtube while playing a game.

I have done some research on solutions and a popular one seems to be to plug the secondary monitor into integrated graphics. The problem is that my mobo (MSI X99A Gaming 7) does not seem to support integrated graphics, unless I am missing something. I have also learned that the difference in refresh rate between my monitors puts extra strain on the graphics card (144hz/60hz). I have tried restricting the primary to 120hz which I was told would help, but it did not seem to.

My question is this: If i spring the cash for another 144hz monitor, will this solve my problem and put less strain on the graphics card? I would really like to know before I spend the money on it only to have the same problem I have now. If not, are there any other solutions I may be missing?

Hardware:
EVGA GTX 1070 FTW
Intel i7 6800k
MSI X99A Gaming 7
16GB ADATA RAM
High Power 600W 80Plus
ASUS PG278QR 27" 1ms 165Hz (primary)
ACER 23" 60hz (secondary)

OS:
Windows 10 64bit

Software:
Firefox (youtube or twitch) on secondary
Path of Exile on primary

Thank you in advance for any help/suggestions!
