Hi,

I recently bought and hooked up a CyberPower LE1000DG UPS for my desk setup, with my computer being the only thing plugged into a battery outlet, and the rest in full time surge protection outlets. The manual claims that the max load for a battery outlet is 530 watts, and that worries me to attempt gaming on my rig thinking it will overload the unit somehow because the system will be using more power. Will it work fine when my components are using more power? (i5 7500 + GTX 1060)

Solution
The guideline I use is Watts x 1.5 = min UPS VA rating. You build will have hard time exceeding 450 watts. Per nVidia site

Thermal and Power Specs for GTX 1060:
94 = Maximum GPU Temperature (in C)
120 W = Graphics Card Power (W)
400 W = Recommended System Power (W)4
6-Pin Supplementary Power Connectors

Here is Guru3D's power supply recommendation:

GeForce GTX 1060 - On your average system the card requires you to have a 350~400 Watts power supply unit.

If you are going to overclock your GPU or processor, then we do recommend you purchase something with some more stamina.

What type of UPS is it ? true Sine Wave ...
