PC Specs:
CPU: AMD FX-8320E AM3+
MoBo: Gigabyte GA-970A-D3P AM3+
GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 960 FTW+ 4GB
Case: Cooler Master N400 Mid-Tower
HDD: WD 1TB 7.2KRPM
SSD: Kingston V300 120GB
PSU: EVGA 500W
RAM: 2x 8GB Crucial Balistix Sport

I thought it was over heating so I dusted and cleaned the PC. The problem still persisted. I think its a software issue but I'm not exactly sure. PLZ HELP

Solution
Use AMD Overdrive to monitor the thermal margins while you stress test the CPU. If they are fine and the frequency doesn't drop, then stress test the GPU.

What are your CPU/GPU temps while gaming and do they change after 10-20 mins? Disable Windows Firewall, anti-virus and any programs you are not using. Look in task manager for any processes that are hogging resourcing in the background. If you recently updated your GPU drivers and the former doesn't help - revert back to a version from a time your PC ran fine.

Temps seem fine so I wouldn't imagine it's an overheating issue. Try closing all programs and disable anti-virus etc as I suggested?

Yes. Disable anything that could conflict with any programs or processes.

also what I noticed is that whenever the game starts lagging, Nvida share stops working on the game i play. I have a FPS counter on the top left corner and whenever the game lags, it dissapears.

Interesting, sounds like you might be running into a driver/software bug. Shot in the dark here, but is this in all games or just specific ones? I've noticed a memory leak in PUBG for example which means I have to re-start it every so often.
