Yes.
Only in Windows 10 can you take advantage of Directx12 and then only a few games is capable to run under DirectX12.
The card will run just fine as You are.

Will I have to download direct x 11 or does it install along with the GPU driver? Also, does this mean my system will be running with DX11 instead of DX12?

You don't need to do anything. DirectX is a part of Windows.
Backwards compatibility to some extent also.

However as I said in my previews post, that You should consider for an upgrade to Windows 10 because DirectX 11.2 is not supported by Windows 7 and therefore You might see a little bit of disadvantage from those games that actualy can benefit from DirectX11.2

Sure Windows seven will be alright, no problem - for the time being..
