Hi !

I'm little bit confused , maybe I don't understand what is going on

https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/PRIME-X399-A/overview/

and second is:

https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/PRIME-X399-A/overview/

they are same mobos as I said , but go to specification and look at those mobos ECC support

first supports ECC RAM second supports only non ECC

what is this ? :\

Solution
The first webpage is the Asus Global site whie the second is the Asus US site. There may be times that specification pages of motherboards contain some typographical errors, unupdated data, or omissions. Try to compare the downloadable manual at the support page of each websites:
https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/PRIME-X399-A/HelpDesk_Manual/
https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/PRIME-X399-A/HelpDesk_Manual/

Both websites list the User Manual for the Asus Prime X399-A as Version E13240 (2017/08/09 update).

It states on both manuals that:

"AMD Ryzen™ Threadripper™ Processors
- 8 x DIMM, max. 128GB, DDR4 3600+(O.C.)/3466(O.C.)/3333(O.C.)/3200(O.C.)/3000(O.C.)/2800(O.C.)/2666/2400/2133 MHz, ECC and non-ECC...

" (Page viii)

and

"Memory configurations
You may install 2 GB, 4 GB, 8 GB and 16 GB unbuffered ECC and non-ECC DDR4 DIMMs
into the DIMM sockets.
" (Page 1-6)

So, the Asus Prime X399-A does support both ECC and non-ECC memory.

asus definitely make more useless mistakes and noise compared all manufacturers that ends up to customers questions
if there were no ASUS choice, which one is second choice for you , gigabyte or MSI ?

Personally, I base my motherboard selection to the specific features such specific model of a motherboard provides based on my current and future needs. I seldom pick based on brand alone as there are some specific models that are bad which was made by a good brand, while there are some specific models that are good which was made by a not so popular brand.

I haven't reviewed a lot of X399 mobos, so, I can't recommend a particular model for such platform. Gigabyte has had a lot of good boards in the LGA1150/51 (Intel 4th-7th gen) platform but slight edge goes to MSI (vs Gigabyte) on most AM4 (AMD Ryzen) mobos. Another mobo to consider is ASRock which has, in my opinion, better motherboard selection in the AM4 platform (not sure for X399s). Best feature, for me, in the Gigabyte mobos is their exclusive DualBIOS feature not found in other boards.

I have used both Gigabyte and MSI mobos (haven't used Asus and Asrock mobos in my builds) and so far I haven't had any problems with them (though this may be a case-to-case basis compared to other owners of such mobos).
