Yes, it is possible. See page 10 of the Tech Guide, will support up to a Core 2 Quad Q9650.

Not that abnormal that a processor not listed in the tech guide has in fact being used. CNET shows that the 380 was supplied with E5800.

Main thing is that under the "MT" in the table on page 10 they list the four Quad cores that are supported. Other than that I cannot say.
