I just upgraded the mobo, cpu and ram for an old pc. The image goes blank as if it were changing resolution, then image comes back after a few seconds with the same resolution. Tried multiple monitors with vga cable only, multiple hard disks, multiple DVD drives. Tried disconnecting hddleds, evenly distributed paste on cpu, checked cpu pins as far as my eyes go and still nothing. It's not consistent but when image comes back, most of the time there is a spike in hd or cpu activity. While installing windows, happened uncountable times. I don't have other mobos to try. I tried isolating the mobo from case too. Worked fine for a moment, then started again. Mobo is gigabyte B250M-DS3H with 8gb 2400mhz ballistix ram and i5-7400 kaby lake. HD is Samsung HD322HJ. Thanks

Ubuntu seems fine, except I can't get the wifi dongle to work out of the box. I'll try to find a driver but unfortunately the user doesn't like Linux! So I still need to find a solution. Any ideas? I just bought these so I might be entitled for a replacement. Problem is don't know if it's the mobo, ram or cpu. I would exclude the ram but still not convinced.

If it is the CPU, it would not start. Most likely.
If it is the RAM, it would not start. Or maybe one of your mem sticks are faulty.

Have you installed all necessary drivers?
Does the PC have a GPU, with necessary drivers?.
Seems like a driver issue for me atleast, dunno if that is the case though.

I am using only the cpu integrated graphics and they are recognized correctly. However frequency and voltage for the gpu are 0! There is on pci controller that has a problem but I can't find the driver for it. Tried disabling it but same blinking.

Are you certain that the correct drivers has been installed for the integrated graphics?
Check under "Display Adapters" in Device Manager.
You might find information about the PCI Controller in Device Manager. The missing driver can cause your problem.
