fast ram downgrade?

hi i have a low end pc with
core 2 duo E6750 2.66ghz
samsung 2gb ddr2 332mhz ram
msi n210
dell 0cu409 mother board

now i got a new 1gb of ram : ramaxel 1gb ddr2 667mhz
is there is a way to make the ramaxel ram run slower as the samsung so my computer can run with 3gb of ram ?

Hey man, your old RAM and the new one are at the same speed no worries.
They are both 667MHz RAM modules, 1st is just showing the half of speed while second is showing full speed.
You should multiply 332x2 and that is 664MHz, but because of different rounding in programs, you "lose" those 3MHz even tho they are same speed.

hello salerhino thanks for your help but even with all the ram stick works togather
my computer runs and boots
but when windows is booting thats when the computer starts a loop of restarts BUT when running in safe mod every things works fine my pc detects 3gb of ram windows safe mode boots and work fine but windows 7 is not can you help about that ?

I guess that you have problems with corrupted OS then or hard drive problems.
