I need help seeing what part of my system is failing.

Specs
PSU- Corsair 550 watt Vs
GPU- Gtx 970 evga SC (before was a r7 360 xfx as I thought the GPU was the problem)
RAM- ballistix sport 2x8
CPU- AMD Athlon x4 860k
MOBO-gigabyte F2A68HM-HD2
SSD- Adata premier sp550 240gb
The motherboard cpu were both replaced.
Never overclocked.
Please help

First thing i notice is that Corsiar VS series psu. Not very high quality. Can you test with another psu? Maybe from a friend or local shop ...

Ram is running at rated specs? Can use cpu-z (freeware) look under the "memory tab" for current speed and timngs, look under the "spd tab" for rated speed and timings (XMP profile1).

For some reason it's running at 800mhz instead of 1600mhz. Do you know what /how to change this.
As for the power supply I already tried a different one and the same things happened

The 800mhz needs to be doubled so it's running effectively at 1600mhz as should from what i read. The DDR in ram stands for "Double Data Rate" hence why you need to double the speed reported by cpu-z.

You cleared the AMD drivers with DDU? Best way is to go into safe mode as suggested, but with the Nvidia gpu already in imo not per se necessary.

You don't need to,it's already done, that why i say it runs effectively at 1600mhz so runs at the right speeds.

The DDU tool i mentioned and linked clears the AMD drivers you used for the R7 360 which might give problems now since using Nvidia drivers. Make sure to set it to AMD when opening it and using it to clean drivers.

That Rosewill generic psu doesn't sound very promising, not ruling psu out yet.

If things start to fall apart at software level is reinstalling maybe an option. Do the games work well on a different account made on the pc? Like a guest account ...

The motherboard cpu were both replaced.
After this you did reinstall windows?

Okay.

Still looking and if the ram is fine (although even memtest isn't always right) can i,for now, only still bring up the psu again.

It's stopped freezing eversince I updated the wi fi , however I still see "mini freezes" it freezes for half a second and then continue s as normal . I don't know if it could have been the wi fi but I'll keep you updated.
